Refering to the '06 touring models,the service manual says 32 ozs.The owners maual says to fill to bottom of clutch spring.I had to add about another 5 ozs to get the level to the clutch spring.No abnormal clutch action with this amount. This was done with the bike level.That is way too much oil. Make sure bike is level and remove derby cover, and inspection cover, and fill through the inspection cover until the oil reaches the diaphram spring by watching through the primary clutch hole (derby cover hole) with flashlight.
